About UIScape

UIScape attempts to give you a glimpse into the possible future of technology and design by keeping you up to date with the latest and greatest in research related to human–computer interaction (HCI).

We are a group of interaction design aficionados, educated in HCI and ergonomics at University College London’s Interaction Centre.

  • Alexander Baxevanis is working on mobile application design and development in the underground research labs of a major mobile phone manufacturer. He is interested in the usability of creative technologies such as digital photography and image editing.
  • Andrew Harder is a User Experience Consultant with Flow Interactive in London, which involves shaping many market-leading interactive technologies and experiences. This means that some days he feels like NASA mission control, and other days he feels like an army doctor performing triage. He’s especially interested in cultural and social insights into the user experience.
  • Amar Sagoo is a software engineer and interaction designer in the financial industry by day and makes little Mac applications by night. His main interests in HCI are novel interaction techniques and the visual design of information.
  • David Whittle is a freelance web developer and consultant, and is finishing his Masters in HCI and Ergonomics. He is interested in the hidden complexities of apparently simple technologies.
